April Chapter Meeting 2024

Join us for the A PM Guide to Writing the PM Guide for the PM Guides: An Unguided Adventure in PM

The Official Cert Guide for the PMI Certified Associate in Project Management Exam was co-authored by Art Thomas and two other professors of project management.  Published by Pearson Education, and officially endorsed by PMI, it is offered in formal PMI training for the CAPM® Certification, and it was designed to also serve as a textbook for university classes.  This presentation will take you behind the scenes in the year-long project that tested patience, politics, and PM principles, finally culminating in the publication of the book in the spring of 2023.  Though it should perhaps be titled “Against All Odds”, this presentation is a case study in how to do (and even how not to do) project management!
