June is election month for us at PMI Syracuse.  We need your help to fill the following positions:

Managing a Challenging Project

Have you ever had a project go bad on you?  Have you ever had to take over a project that has already gone bad?  What do you do?  Where do you start?  We will have a panel discussion focused on challenging projects.  Here are our panelists.

Cheri McEntee - As Associate Director for Computing Support at Syracuse University, Cheri's role is to manage and coordinate with various departments to determine the best use of University resources to move strategic and tactical project forward in an efficient and effective manner. She has 20+ year of direct PeopleSoft experience working with and in several student administrative areas including Financial Aid, Student Records, Admissions, Study Aboard, Campus Community, Graduate Awards and Student Financials. Currently she manages a staff of business analysts and developers for the student administrative areas. Her team is responsible for the project management, requirement gathering, specifications, design, development, testing and implementation of modifications and patches to the administrative system. She acts as a liaison between the various administrative areas and information technology services.

Cheri earned her PMP in 2015.  She has been actively involved with Project and Change Management Advisory group acting as a Chair this past year. 

Jeff Dailey - Jeff is currently a director in the Information Services Program Delivery organization at National Grid. Responsibilities include staffing, planning, and management of technology projects as part of a $25M+/- annual portfolio of work.   He has been working in various I/T related functions for the past 35+ years.

Jeff's current team of direct reports include Project Managers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and PMO managers. He hold degrees in Computer Programming (AAS), and Business Administration (BS).

John Vollick - John is a 30+ year career Information Technology professional, Entrepreneur, and the PMI Syracuse Chapter president. His experiences include the following industries: defense, financial, utilities, manufacturing, education, pharmaceutical, and medical.  John is a professional presenter and educator both speaking and teaching at university level.  John is currently working at Welch Allyn in R&D for Vision Care.
