Join us virtually for the PMI Syracuse September Chapter Meeting on September 21, 2021 with Rod Koch where we will have a discussion on Data Storytelling for Project Managers: Helping your data speak for itself.

Rod Koch has spent over 30 years working in various information technology roles, including over 10 years in Project Management. He is currently a full-time instructor at the State University of New York at Cortland in the Computer Applications Program and serves as PMI Syracuse’s chapter president. In his spare time, he is a Doctoral student in Pepperdine University’s Executive DBA program.

Koch holds a Master of Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, an MBA in Management Information Systems, an MS in Communications, and an MS in Applied Data Science, all from Syracuse University.

Meeting Agenda:

In the 21st century, everyone wants to make data-driven decisions. While we may be tempted to think that the data can speak for itself, it is important to present data in ways which highlight key inflection points and speaks intuitively to our audience. As project managers we regularly make presentations to project boards, sponsors, and product owners; consequently, it is important for us to incorporate data storytelling into our presentations so that our audience will understand what the data is saying and enable the proper decisions and outcomes.
